Centenary Tandem Skydive for Combat Stress

About a year ago, as I volunteered with my bucket at Highclere Castle for Battle of the Proms , I agreed to do a skydive for Combat Stress.

So, two weeks ago, I signed up to be one of the team of eight participating in the Centenary Tandem Skydive for Combat Stress.

Combat Stress, is the veterans’ mental health charity where they heal minds and rebuild lives so our veterans can be part of the community.    This is a charity close to my heart, as over the past three years I have learnt more about it from the connection with Flannels4Heroes.

So, on Friday 9th May I will be heading off to Maidstone airfield to make that jump.

We will start with our training which I read was only half an hour but hopefully a little bit more than that.   Then we will fly up to 10,000 feet and jump.

Now, if truth be told I am a little frightened so, trying not to think about it too much and certainly will need to be the first one out of the plane that much I do know.

Each team member needs to raise a minimum of £395.00 to make the jump but I want to get at £1,000.00, so no pressure.
