Two weeks ago, I had my first session of Bowen with Catherine Ford and was really impressed with the results as she is a true professional.
I carry a lot of stress in my body and when my mind is working over time, I find that my sleep pattern is disturbed and whereas I can sleep anywhere, I do need at least 8 hours a night.
So, off to Catherine’s treatment room I went not really knowing what to expect, even though having heard her speak I knew what it could help so I was up for it.
We started with an in depth questionnaire to understand my body and what I was looking to cover from a treatment. Thankfully Catherine warned me that she would be leaving the room for a couple of minutes after carrying out the Bowen Technique on different parts of my body. Otherwise, I would have found that strange but it was really weird or maybe that isn’t the right word, but I certainly felt from a slight touch on certain pressure points found that it woke up the whole body and I experienced various different sensations.
All I know, is that after the hours session I felt lighter (well it’s hard to explain) and had to follow Catherine’s words of advice the 3 W’s ‘Walk, Water, Wait’ so, for the last two weeks have had amazing nights sleeps and now with my fitness regime which I started last week, I am drinking more water and seem to be combating the stress points in the body and getting a balance of healthy living. So, if you have niggles, insomnia, hormone imbalances to name a few and want to feel better than you should try Bowen with Catherine Ford who has a great treatment room in Fulham.
If you don’t know what Bowen is here is a brief overview:
The Bowen Technique is a very gentle, deeply relaxing, non-invasive technique which comprises sequences of precise rolling moves on the body. It is neither massage nor manipulation. It can be done on bare skin or through light clothing. The gentle moves stimulate energy flow allowing the body to re-set itself holistically.
