John Rendall caused a stir when in the sixties along side Anthony Bourke he bought a lion which was called ‘Christian’ from Harrods and kept him in their furniture shop in trendy Chelsea.
Then in 1971 as Christian grew up he was given to George Adamson of Born Free and was released back into the wild.
Remarkably many years later Christian was reunited with John and Anthony and at this time they were introduced to his pride.
So, on Saturday 1st October at 3pm in Henley Town Hall you can learn more about this amazing story as John Rendall is interviewed by Charles Mayhew of Tusk Trust.
