TV Debut on BBC 2’s Raymond Blanc programme ‘Out of the Frying Pan’ with Henley Food Festival

As Sponsorship Manager for Henley Food Festival I was honoured to attend the dinner party hosted by Raymond Blanc one of the patrons as a thank you to sponsors and patrons held at Luxter’s Barn.

The dinner was the last in the series for Ali and James who were the runners up from The Restaurant in 2008.  In the series ‘Out of the Frying Pan’ they were running an outside catering company and for the finale had to create a private dinner for 20 guests made up of acclaimed chefs such as Roy Ackerman and Giancarlo Caldesi also Patrons.

It was an interesting experience to be sat with such foodies as I sat next to Roy Ackerman and the Head Chef from Le Manoir.

My one liner debut on the big screen related to the palate cleaners course with the 1970’s star dust when I claim ‘it took me back to my childhood’.

The desert certainly was imaginative and caused the most intrigue as it was a tarte tartin with a difference, created with parsnip, apple, pear and stilton as some said three courses in one!

It was a great evening and if you have a chance click on the link and watch it via iplayer.
